What the Chrysler lacked, however, was space. It was smaller than its rivals, offering less backseat and trunk space, thereby flunking the family-vehicle test.

I have booked this already and have booked a Chrysler or similar . Also to note: A bigger car doesn't always mean more trunk space.

There's no denying it. Although the Alamo website says the Chrysler will fit 4 suitcases I tend to find it's always a tight fit to get all the cases in that they say. Although the Alamo website says the Chrysler will fit 4 suitcases I tend to find it's always a tight fit to get all the cases in that they say. If it was me I'd upgrade to a SUV in advance to have a comfortable road trip. What you have is a standard car or similar. You might want to look at the boot of these cars to see if the luggage fits but its likely it will not, its probably cheaper to upgrade now.

Might be a stupid suggestion but do you have Chrysler 's in Ausralia? Take your luggage to a dealer and see if they fit in the car. That way you know before you leave if it will be alright or if you have to upgrade. I am thinking at least 2 of the pieces will fit in the trunk if not 3 and as mentioned above the other pieces can go in the back seat. I would assume you would be OK but if it were me I would check it out to be sure.

If the only time you'll have luggage in your car is driving from Vegas to San Francisco , you'll be fine. Just use the back seat for the luggage that doesn't fit in the trunk. Sure, it's always better to have things hidden from view, but you should be ok. A bigger car doesn't always mean more trunk space. And rarely will you find a car of any size that fits 4 large bags in the trunk with ease.

Seems senseless to spend more money for a bigger car just for the trunk space when you have the back seat available. Whatever decision you make about the car, I recommend that you make the upgrade decision and do it on-line. I think you will not have the deals "at the counter" than you can get on-line ahead of time.

I would go with a full size. Firstly the price difference between the lower level cars is usually negligible. Secondly, the larger cars which are slightly higher end are going to be more comfortable during a long drive. Thirdly I don't think you are getting the new generation , you are probably getting the last generation which is a middling choice at best. The full size category is a Ford Fusion which is a way better car. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
