My mom loved him too and she made throw pillows with his pic on them so we should be good. That was quite a dog, I'm sure that made you want to go Grizzly hunting after that. I wonder where he came from and I suppose you didn't really know how old he truly was.

I can even see what my reaction would've been in there! Thanks guys, I'm not going to lie, I was sobbing in the vet clinic, he was the best dog ever. Thanks for the cam info. I was about to buy a cam, new rods, lifters, and arms. Join Date Apr Location bay city Posts 10, I'll let you know what improvement I end up with. Can anyone tell me more about how to make late model vortec heads work? Is it as easy as bolting them on? I wont mind doing a carb setup if needed. Like I said, its got k on it right now and I'll be rebuilding it around k so I have about a year or two.

I'd like to know how that turns out. Basically it's an external upgrade IMO. I'll NOT touch the cam or internals I have to agree with Pat on this one. The stock heads are okay to 4, rpm or so, but they are whats really holding you back.

If you just want daily light to light grunt then just swap cams and switch to carb. I bought my big block and found that it had peanut port heads too. So I found some 's from early seventies. If you want it to be a brawler then you need heads and higher compression, cam, etc Had to say goodbye to Chip this All material found at Club Hot Rod are copyright protected.
