It has more ground clearance than some similar models, but lean angle is still compromised by the footboards—meaning too much spirited riding results in razor-sharp footboards. In Short, Suzuki's C90T is a excellent medium distance touring machine with classic sleek looks as a bonus. We recently put in a few thousand miles behind the bars and windscreen of the Suzuki Boulevard C90T B. First off, you're probably wondering what the B. B lacked O ut S uzuki B agger is the definition for the stylish package that incorporates a black finish on everything possible. Let's get right to it and tell you how this modern yet classic looking middleweight touring machine performed, you can read all the specs further down in the story. As soon as we positioned ourselves in the cockpit of the Suzuki C90T, we felt right at home.

The wide pullback handlebars put our arms in a comfortable all-day riding reach that feels just right and natural. The bump-free amply padded saddle enabled multiple seating positions just by scooting our behind forward or backwards a few inches. This comes in handy on double digit hour jaunts spent in the saddle. The Windscreen is a good height, blocking out a lot of the wind and provided for a good flow over the top of our helmet at higher speeds.

Combine all these elements and you have the makings for all day comfort on the open highways. Onto the meat of the machine, the motor. The cc liquid-cooled, 54 degree V-twin has a plenty of pep to pull along the C90T's pounds, enough so that it's heft disappears once in motion. The motor has a very broad range of power with a decent but not overly aggressive pull off the bottom with a punchy midrange and strong pull into the upper ends of the RPM range that keeps it smoothly rumbling along without straining at higher speeds.

Its linear and user friendly personality will have you enjoying your all day adventures that much more. The exhaust note emitting from the slash cut dual pipes was an ear pleasing rumble without being overly loud and tiresome. The shifting is precise but a bit clunky. After getting used to the thunkish nature of the gearbox, it provided trouble-free and dependable operation. Our favorite aspect of the Suzuki C90T was it's tarmac prowess. Obviously it is no sportbike but this baby will have you cutting switchbacks with the confidence and attitude of a late night wonder-knife infomercial salesman.

The front end always felt securely planted and offered predictable and very stable handling which enabled this lb machine to feel somewhat nimble rather than a runaway semi-truck that unfortunately we have experienced before on other baggers.

Cornering clearance was great and we only really scraped the floorboards when we entered a corner too fast and were trying to force it through the turn. Suspension wise, the big Suzook had a few shortcomings hiding underneath it's excellent performance. Potholes will blow through the fork travel and bestow you with a sudden jolt to the bars. Small imperfections in the tarmac were deflected off of rather than soaked up. These are conditions that will not be encountered on a regular basis, one just needs to be aware the way the machine will react when encountering such and everything will be fine.

On the flipside The C90T's great handling when not encountering these hazards is a testament to how well the suspension works on the majority of touring conditions. The single rotor disk brakes front and rear did a sufficient job of stopping the touring vessel.

We were a little disappointed in the " Bagger" feature of the C90T as the actual bags didn't have a whole lot of storage capacity.

Then again we must be reminded that the C90T really isn't touted and equipped as the ultimate long distance machine. Our multi-day trip necessitated the use of an additional medium sized duffel bag strapped to the rear of the machine. The ABS molded bags did have a nice flowing shape though and come upholstered in a faux leather finish with an easy to use locking mechanism.
